The Methven Toy Library opened for business on Saturday 31st July 2004. We are a non-profit organization run by a voluntary committee with support from our members and their families. We are not a council or government organisation or a private company. We are a group of parents working together to benefit our children. We keep in touch via Social media, newsletters and the library noticeboard.
Methven Toy Library is a member of the National Toy Library Federation and we are a registered charity. We are financially supported through membership fees, fundraising efforts and any grants we apply for and receive.
Our mission: To provide a service that embraces the diversity of children in the community through supporting their learning and development by offering educational resources and good quality toys for loan at minimal cost.
